Notes on demister pads

Model Selection:

These absorbers use molecular sieves which allow for the absorption of the condensates and glycols without disrupting the normal flow of gases and vapours. The absorption of the condensates and glycols is achieved by using a liquid which is passed over the sieves. The liquid absorbs the condensates and glycols allowing them to be discharged away from the separator or scrubber outlet.

Demister pads are an essential element in any Vacuum Tower, Separator, Scrubber, Gas Separator Vessel, and gasoline plant. When selecting and installing a Demister pad, it is important to consider all of the various aspects such as cost, performance, installation, construction and maintenance. Additionally, when dealing with gasoline plants, it is important to use a Glycol Absorber to prevent contamination of the gas stream.
